KBBS Supports MSMEs Through Productive Waqf

Depok – KB Bank Syariah (KBBS) is supporting MSME entrepreneurs in developing their businesses through the waqf concept by providing five units of Gerobak Berkah (Blessing Carts). KBBS Business Director Agus Suhendro personally handed over the Gerobak Berkah to selected MSME entrepreneurs who have been guided by the Wakaf Warrior institution as Nazhir (waqf manager) on Friday, December 27, 2024.
The carts will be used to sell a variety of food products. The Gerobak Berkah program is a tangible step in supporting MSME entrepreneurs to grow and become self-reliant, enabling them to improve their welfare and ultimately contribute to the local economy.
Agus stated that this program aims to establish a productive waqf ecosystem that not only provides social benefits but also drives the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia. “KBBS will continue to support the development of waqf instruments through CWLD as a solution to strengthen MSME entrepreneurs and create a sustainable positive impact,” Agus said.
CWLD is an innovative product initiated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Previously, KBBS, in collaboration with Muhammadiyah, had implemented the CWLD program, with funds allocated for goat and sheep fattening for communities in Grobogan Regency, Central Java, as well as an empowerment program for ultra-micro entrepreneurs in East Java.
